Unempolyment and me and perhaps you

 I lost my job, May 1st, after almost three years and the very same day I applied for UEI (Unemployment Insurance). That was 4 and a half months ago. I at first was denied for the benefits. I appealed the decision in Mid June, I have yet to hear back from them on when I will have my appellate hearing. I do however have a small hint for those of you who are having trouble getting into the phone bank when you call the offices as instructed.

When you dial the 1-800 number,  you will hear one of two things. "Welcome" or "Thank You". If you hear the voice say "Welcome" Dial 12117 for English or 22117 for Spanish and you automatically be put into a three minute holding cue. if you hear "Thank You" hang up and redial immediately until you hear "Welcome".

This has been a life saver for me. Instead of sitting in the hold cue for hours at a time i can get the info I need quickly and virtually without frustration. I hope this is helpful to you all.
